BROOKHAVEN, Ga.*- Buford Highway has been shutdown in both directions between North Druid Hills and West Druid Hills roads as fire crews battle a debris fire underneath the Peachtree Creek bridge.*

The fire started*shortly before 9:30 p.m.

Officials have not said when they plan to reopen the road.*

They are asking people to avoid the area while the fire is put out.

So we had this on 3/30.

Atlanta I-85 fire: State of emergency issued

Then on 4/13 we had this, about 1.25 miles from that.

Fire burns under railroad trestle Thursday morning | 13wmaz.com

Now we have this, about .75 miles from that.

It does make you wonder. Until 3/30 I don't recall any bridge fires around the ATL.

Maybe it's not a good idea to be storing a lot of flammable debris under highway bridges. So what caught fire?

I think that in the latter two cases it was described as 'assorted debris', which I would interpret as remnants of an abandoned homeless encampment.
