Because this particular thread has dragged out for more than two years with no new news other than to make the original prediction look foolish.

So? Adults can discuss with other adults, and adults who don't want to read it can simply not read it. We don't need to lock every thread simply because it's a couple of years old.

And there is new news...the average attendance for 2019 with only a few games to go.

Why? Because the original narrative has been entirely disproven?

If someone's going to stick their neck out there and make a wild prediction with an inflammatory headline in public, there's nothing wrong with showing data to show that the prediction was wrong, and continues to be more incorrect with every passing season.

Exactly.

I mean, we could keep it going until the Braves leave SunTrust Park, but there is a point where it gets stale.

So...15 years?

They totally are! I'd love to see them hang on to some of the guys hitting free agency this off-season.

RE: the thread, I was interested to see the attendance update.

Worth keeping open. Facts are our friends when it comes to people pushing emotionally charged negative narratives.

And it’s just interesting to track this big move and big investment.

Braves average attendance at SunTrust Park: 30,789

Braves average attendance at Turner Field: 32,378

30,789 < 32,378

Braves average attendance this year (32,779) is also still below "6 (of 20) Complete Years at Turner Field"

Do y'all not fact check your own claims before you post?

It is not mathematically possible for the Braves to have higher average attendance at STP than the best years at Turner even if they sell it out every game. Why do y'all keep beating yourself up over it?

There were tons of lies spewed on here about the relocation that never came to fruition. Remember the traffic nightmare this was going to create? It never happened. We still have people on here that can't let it go that they were incorrect about almost everything.

You got at least 46 pages of examples of any "lies" I said. I only had to read yesterday's posts to find false claims that average attendance is higher at SunTrust Park.
