I wonder when they're breaking ground for these new apartments? I'm very pleased to see how quickly the Georgia Ave. strip is coming along. I drive by it every morning and they are wasting no time. It looks great!

They already broke ground on the apartments right across from the stadium (Georgia Ave @ Pollard Blvd), right?

Yes, they have broken ground there I believe. At the least, all of the fences are up and the equipment is there to dig up the land.

Nice! I had heard as much but not been by there to verify it myself.

Also, how about the new GSU baseball stadium? Any news on that anyone? I want to go check out a game there when it opens. Love to see the field where Hank Aaron hit number 715 back in use again.

New render of the office / commercial for Georgia Ave @ Hank Aaron.

Quote:
Carter is in the early phases of designing
for-rent apartments and new office and retail
buildings at the intersection of Hank Aaron
Drive and Georgia Avenue. Located at the
southern portion of the former Gold Lot, these
projects are scheduled to start construction
in early 2019 and finish construction in 2020.

Fantastic. This project is already having a huge impact on the feel of Georgia Ave, I can't wait for the rest to be built out.

That’s what a neighborhood should be. I can’t believe we’re actually seeing this area improve so quickly after years of neglect. It’s location just can’t be beat. Now we just need the BRT in place connecting to Downtown.
