Hi all,

I just read in the newspaper that low flow toilet rebates are now being offered for the City of Atlanta, Fulton County, Clayton County, Cherokee County, Fayette County, Gwinnett County, City of Hapeville and Henry County. It is on a first come first issued basis.

Check out the requirements and download the application at Metropolitan North Georgia Water District | Toilet Rebate Program (http://www.northgeorgiawater.com/html/315.htm - broken link)

Default Glacier Bay HET from Home Depot?

As mentioned in the newspaper article, Cobb and another county (Dekalb?) have separate but similar rebate programs. We're in Cobb - you can read about the Cobb program here: Cobb County Government.

The AJC article said the Pegasus Cottage HET (High Efficiency Toilet) from Home Depot was $99 and eligible for $100 rebate. According to the HD website, the Pegasus price is $149 - but HD has a Glacier Bay HET for $99 and it's on the Cobb $100 rebate list too.

Has anyone out there tried the Glacier Bay? We're a bit wary of the 1.28 gallon flush, although internet research suggests maybe it's OK. Our house was built in the late 80s so we have 3.5 GPF toilets. We could certainly be more environmentally friendly and save a bit on our water bill if this unit actually works.
