I've seen a few articles about the area being a supposed "hotspot"

I admittedly know little about the area, but it's kinda surprising. What is over there that would attract people that want to do and be close to "things"? That's what normally attracts the "hipster" type

It has the park and an old downtown (which would be nice if it had more and better businesses)

It's a giant pendulum.

People may soon decide that being around lakes, nature, trails, etc. is more important than being near bars, stores, and restaurants. There's no question that will happen, the question is when, and where....could it be Stone Mountain? Hmmm, I don't see why not. The area needs plenty of work, but it certainly has one thing that makes it ripe to become a hotspot: It has plenty of cheap living options.

What did I do B 4 Google? I know, I used WEBSTER to look up Stone Mountain! I was shocked to know the KKK met on the Mountain. I like City Data loads of information some good, some bad etc., etc., etc., It is what it was @ that time.

Stone Mountain was @ 1 time was the home of the KKK.
I read below ====>

There's already an artisanal, small batch glass blowing workshop in Stone Mountain. You can't get more hipster than that.
