Hey, man...if I wait just another 15-20 years, I might see the Beltline come near me! What's a short couple of decades?

20 years is not that long! Remember the Olympics were 20 years ago and that seems like yesterday.

Stop talking, old man! I was still in college at that point, and it seems like forever ago. 20 years is not right around the corner when you're waiting for something like a concrete path. If I knew it would be here in three years, I'd make decisions based on it. 20 years away? Not even on the radar for decision-making.

The Proctor Creek Greenway will be built on your side of town before the BeltLine.

Yeah, that looks nice, although it's mostly on the other side of a huge railroad yard from me. I wish their website contained more high-resolution images that could be read to get more details. I'll search the web for more info.

Wow, that could be a big component of whatever they end up developing in the Gulch. South Downtown is going to make PCM look like a small dot on the map when it comes to adaptive re-use in Atlanta

Yes, once fully gentrified I think Downtown will be an even nicer urban hub than Midtown thanks to the street grid and beautiful old buildings. I can imagine quirky shops and restaraunts in these restored, historical buildings within a decade, and people actually walking around evenings and weekends on clean, safe sidewalks.

Folks said the same thing about downtown back in the 90s when a lot of the old buildings were fixed up. But, I do hope you're right.
