One thing interesting about the city is this. A lot of the hotels have glass elevators. Did anyone notice that?

I think it has more to do with hotels with atriums.

The Westin is a borderline thrill ride. Love grabbing a drink in the Marriott and then riding the elevator to the top. That alien like interior is just stunning to look at.

Yes, but John Portman is credited with popularizing hotels and atriums with the Hyatt Regency as his first atrium hotel.
