It would be a shame to not explore this "sidewalk" while we are living here.
For all that Atlanta gets wrong with its infrastructure, roads, missed opportunities, this "sidewalk" appears to be a great resource to explore.

But, that's just this transplants opinion.

The BeltLine network is more than just the loop.

My point was more . . . just walk around out there and figure it out. It's not like there is a risk of getting lost.

People that think the Beltline is "just a sidewalk" should ask themselves why this "sidewalk" is so much more successful / popular than similar stretches on concrete all over the metro.

If you go out to some random place in the metro and put down a couple miles of concrete you would not get anywhere near this good of results.

The answer of course is that the Beltline is much more than just concrete. In fact you probably could have designed it as a dirt trail and still got better results than any stretch of concrete in Atlanta.

Nearest MARTA station, ride to either Midtown Station and transfer to bus route 36 or 109; or exit at Inman Park/Reynoldstown Station and walk 0.8 miles https://www.google.com/maps/dir/33.7...7656!3e2?hl=en, if physically capable.

Or grab a Relay Bike (Atlanta's Bikeshare) and ride from the Midtown station down to the BeltLine, if you feel comfortable doing so.

Many of those streets are residential parking permit only, and then when visitors unfamiliar with the local streets park and get a ticket, then they are upset and are less likely to visit again.
The simplest answer is:
Quote:
Parking Garage

The parking garage is in the center of the park, and is great for visitors, especially those on their first visit. The Park shares a parking deck with the Atlanta Botanical Garden and the rate is typically based on the amount of time you spend in the park. Piedmont Park access is on the lowest floor.

Address to Parking Garage: 1320 Monroe Drive, Atlanta, GA 30306

The garage is off of Monroe Drive on Worchester Drive, or visitors can enter off Piedmont Avenue at the Atlanta Botanical Garden entrance. The park is accessed from the lowest floor.

I just prefer to encourage, those who are physically capable, to explore our beautiful city outside of a steel, climate controlled single occupancy vehicle. There is something special about 2 feet or 2 wheels on the pavement and really connecting with the built environment.
