Default Transportation in Swuanee

We are planning to move to suwanee from New York. How do one travel by rail from Swuanee to Atlanta City if they decided not to drive for 40 minutes.

Also, there are so many different counties, I want to be in the county where it is more build up and more homes on my street, rather than being way out where it is more rural.

Please help.

Thank you

JCL

I just moved to Douglasville in mid January but have never set foot in Suwanee so I'll defer to the others. But I do like Douglasville so far besides the traffic on 20 East in the morning. Too bad Marta stops well before it reaches out here.

You would have to drive to the Doraville MARTA station which would take about 30 - 40 minutes, at least, from Suwanee. The drive to Atlanta is at least an hour from Suwanee, on a good day. If it's raining or there is a wreck (which is often), it may be about an hour and a half. On a really bad day, it has taken my wife 2 hours just to get to Buckhead.
