It's easier to move somewhere that already has all the things you are looking for than sit around and wait for an area to transform.

I'd say we will have our first function transit on the Beltline within 5-10 years. So possible.

Depends what you consider your threshold for "vibrant, walkable area lined with shops and restaurants", the area already has shops, restaurants, and good bones. But you are probably looking at 2 - 10 years for the projects in the area to deliver.

Similar to the above.

You can hop the fence and do it now! But yeah, think the park is on a 3 - 10 year time line. The tunnel is expected to be done and fill the quarry with water in by the end of 2018.

Wondering if they will continue the work while the quarry fills up.

ABI reported progress with transportation along a large portion of the Beltline.

“All our documents are with the [Federal Transit Administration] for routes along the 16 miles of trail, West, East, Midtown and cross town,” said Odom. “We have more plans for the North and the South, but this is what [is close to finalized].”

These plans include streetcar and bus route placement through the Beltline’s cross sections.

I've been looking for the Q3 & Q4 briefings! They're not up on the BeltLine site at all. This one seems... a bit less detailed than the ones before. Am I the only one who sees that?

I haven't seen Q3's report, but it seems like the Quarterly Briefings presentations have mostly been rehashing the same info over and over again for awhile (years?) now. At least there's a new to me map in this one. I didn't realize they were pursuing the Downtown Crosstown route already...nice! Also, might be old news but I love seeing this:

Self-Storage Facilities Prohibition – City Council passed
legislation on November 20, 2017 to prohibit new self-storage
facilities within 500 feet of the BeltLine corridor
Make it 1500 ft!
