It will snarl side streets along 75 in Cobb and 85 in Gwinnett but those at least have clear cut alternate routes (US 41 for Cobb and Peachtree Industrial or Buford Hwy for Gwinnett). GA 9 looks like it just kinda meanders up into and through Forsyth to Cumming.

That corridor has plenty of traffic at all times. Morning isn't so bad but the afternoon has a little bit of traffic backing up just south of Haynes Bridge (southbound 400 goes from 4 lanes to 3 at Holcomb Bridge then back to 4). Then there's another backup down at 285. Plus your budget will get blown to smithereens very quickly.
Thank you. It's so hard to look at a map and figure out traffic patterns. Info like lane bottlenecks is very helpful. I'm more concerned with morning than afternoon. If I get home late I'm a little cranky, but if I show up to work late I'm fired...

That's almost exactly what I told my wife. "Imagine the job was in Highland Park, where would we move to?" "Probably Frisco/Plano/Colony." "Exactly, but now imagine the DNT is the ONLY route in or out." "Ewwwww."

I went into that area to visit. There are many nice people there who can befriend you. They are actually less stuck up than most of metro Atlanta.
