Rating online seems high but reviews by parents and students are poor. Anyone here has a first hand experience with this school? Any info is appreciated. BTW seems to be the only MS that feeds into North Gwinett High...is that right?

We had a good experience there with our two kids. The principal runs it with an iron fist, and I mean that in a good way. They don't put up with any disciplinary issues. My oldest daughter was bullied and blocked from going to the bathroom the first week of school in six grade. The incident was reviewed and taken care of and nothing like that ever happened again. It is the only middle school that feeds into North Gwinnett.

Thanks OhioNative,
Did your kids move on to North G H S after and how do you feel about that school academically as well as socially, acceptance of new students etc. Also, how is life for families in the area, any info is greatly appreciated. We are narrowing down to area close to the Swuanee city hall and the nearby greenway...

It's arguably the best MS in all of Gwinnett next to Crews. I subbed there once and had a good experience. A sub I met that day subbed there a lot and commented on how well the students behave.

Pay no mind to reviews on something like Google Maps or other sites left by students/parents. For one, it's typically the ones that are just angry that they/their child got caught on their phone during class or didn't study enough for a test and just want to leave an angry comment. Or it's by those that have had no experience at other schools and don't appreciate how good the school really is.

We have been happy with North Gwinnett high school so far. Academically it's one of the best schools in the state so it's hard to go wrong there. Doesn't seem to be an issue as far as acceptance of new students since this is an area with transplants from all over. Also, Suwanee is one of the most family friendly communities in the region.

One if not maybe the top middle school in Gwinnett County.

Keep in mind that being in the Suwanee zip code does not mean that you are in the North Gwinnett cluster. The part of 30024 on the east side of I-85 feeds into Collins Hill, and the kids in the Forsyth part of the zip code go to Forsyth County schools.

My grandparents' neighborhood is 30024 but is zoned to Peachtree Ridge. In fact, it looks like PRHS itself is in 30024. Still a good school, of course.
