Another wall would have all of the school zones.
Make sure to cover the walls in fourthwarden's transit maps, dry erase material so we can draw lines and debate.

Haha--yes.

But I am hoping that once this is up and running, there will be a lot more things that are solidified.

Yes, a "North Hub" would be great--and necessary, I think. Like you said, it would complement the "South Hub" at Five Points. And the "North Hub" should be at Armour.

Armour Valley Station
Grand Five Points Station

The south hub at Grand Five Points would have all of the commuter rail lines.

The north hub at Armour Valley would have some of the commuter rail lines, but not all. But it would have Amtrak.

If the Grand Five Points Station is in reference to Grand Central in NYC, the commuter rail part of it is officially Grand Central Terminal. The subway part is Grand Central Station.

Ok, then--

Grand Five Points Terminal
Grand Five Points Station

Both are Grand Five Points...still grand and still lovely.

And for a second choice--

Five Points Terminal
Five Points Station

The original Union Station was built on the proposed site of this project, so I am proposing we call it Union Station to honor our railroad heritage and move the Zero Mile post inside the lobby.

To be fair, South Downtown is going to be on the rise soon, which along with other projects could pull the center of gravity southward- though, yes, the center of activity will likely always be north of Five Points.

Lindbergh would be a great 'North Hub' to complement Five Points as 'South Hub'. But, the problem is how do you get trains from Cobb to there, without a super expensive $$$ billions tunnel, that would take decades before it opened.
You don't. Again, not everything can go everywhere.

What are you talking about? Midtown has a four-five track mainline right through its heart. Build a station at 10th street/Marietta, and run streetcars on 10th st. over to Midtown and a station on the beltline.

Since when is Marietta@10th the heart of Midtown?
Even if that was to happen, you still have the last mile issue to deal with and a transfer. Is it not easier to continue to Five Points and board 1 of 2 NB subways to the 3 Midtown Stations?

Agreed that a MARTA CRT stop in the Howell Mill/ Westside village area would be perfect, but I don't consider that Midtown. That's 2 miles west of the Midtown business district's western border, not at all "through its heart". Yes they call it "West Midtown" but that's just for marketing.

That station would serve GA Tech, and a lot of increasingly dense areas around there.

If I'm coming in to the city by train from Cumberland or Vinings, it would be my last stop before the Downtown MMPT hub.
