FYI ... O-House is still there but the old motel dorms on Boundary were demolished and replaced by eight new five-story residential buildings with parking garages, a fitness center, outdoor pool and athletic fields. Price tag: $85 million.
Both! I lived in Dyson my Freshmen year, O-house my Sophomore year. I heard that Dyson and Weston had been demolished, I've got to get back and see what it looks like these days. Looking on Google Maps I see there's a parking garage where my old room was. That's probably a wise choice.

I got them mixed up though; the old Holiday Inn (Dyson) was the one that sat right next door to the sewage treatment plant. Those were the days...

The sewage treatment plant is actually on the other side of downtown on E. President Street (near Truman Parkway) so wastewater discharges back into the river below River Street and the HD. What you probably smelled was a sewer system lift station right there at the flood control gates beneath the bridge ... and the paper mill as well.

Ahh yeah, the lift station was right there in the middle of the dorm complex. It's kind of mind-boggling that those rooms were ever sold as motel rooms. At the time we thought it was decent for a dorm... my friends at other schools were jealous that we had a private bathroom.

I remember the sewage treatment plant on President now that you mention it... switching my A/C to recirculate was a daily part of my commute when I moved out to Wilmington Island.

Yeah you drive by there on warm summer days and it’s pretty pungent. What gets me is there’s a sewer lift station / pump house right on US 80 when you come off the flyover at Islands Expressway and that thing REEKS all the time — and there’s houses in Battery Point tbat badk up directly to it! Why those people ever bought those houses, or how they ever expect to sell them, is beyond me.

After breaking ground in March, the project currently stands at 43 percent finished and is expected to be ready on July 31 next year, officials tell Curbed Atlanta.

Designed by Mackey Mitchell, along with BatesForum and SCAD Design Group, the new residential tower is being constructed by Clayco.

Looks fine for what it is: a dormitory.
