The RFP specifically states that the properties do not have to be contiguous but nearby.

If we don't land the HQ I suppose that's a good consolation prize. But it does make me think that if they're making that investment we may not get the HQ. Why would they go ahead and do this so close to launching a new HQ?

Amazon picks Atlanta for new logistics hub, locates it in Midtown's Atlantic Station

I think this is an early sign of them knowing what Atlanta brings to the table

A logistics hub, so they made it a logistics hub.

It would be contiguous in a sense.

They want about 25-35 buildings in a tight area that can blend into the urban fabric yet still feel like an insulated campus right?

A mix between South Downtown, the Gulch, and Underground would give Amazon exactly what it wants. ---Office space now and future office buildings/campus designed around Amazon's needs.

That was my point. They see the value of Atlanta

Amazon has been expanding into different cities for a variety of different strategic reasons.
Outside of the distribution centers, they have different hubs and offices.

I wouldn't necessarily deem this a sign that we're not getting the HQ. One has nothing to do with the other.
