A few years ago we were waiting for the new museums and the streetcar to open and now they are open in downtown. After that we were excited about Avalon, PCM, KSM and BA and now they are open so what's next (not including the new stadiums)? Is the next wave now to getting rid of them parking lots in Midtown and Downtown because most of the long term developments like UA and TF aren't going to be redeveloped in the next few years. Will it be passing the new tax to expand MARTA next year? The new casino? Beltline? Maybe the increase in bike lanes? etc. We have enough restaurants, festivals, concerts, clubs, etc so I'm trying to figure out what's next as far as taking Atlanta to the next level.

Beltline and Path400 expansion are always exciting, but I think the next big things (not including the Stadiums) will include:

1. Redevelopment of the GM site

2. GA 400/285 interchange
I 285 SR 400 Improvements

3. Westside Bellwood Quarry

Outside of the Westside Bellwood Quarry/Beltline I don't think any of these will be the big "it" development. The GM Site will be movie studios and a residential area. I don't think that really stands out. I mean it's much better than having an abandoned GM site but I don't think people will care about it a year after it opens. 400/285 interchange, even though it will help the people on the northside of town I don't think it will be something that will take Atlanta to the next level. I agree with you about the Westside Bellwood Quarry and the Beltline

Seems like some folks are always in a rush for the next big thing.

If something was going to have a big impact within a year it would be nearly complete right now.

Then the 400/285 interchange project is way outside of that timeframe.
Within the next year; What will happen with the Atlanta Hawks and Philips Arena?
