With all the trigger happy cops and unnecessary shooting can you prove im wrong?

Also according to many people online when I read comments when dealing with police "its comply,or die"

or "shoot first,ask questions later".

Since police always "fear for their lifes" as in this in case were suspect had a knife, and NO attempt to use taser or any other force expect a gun we can easily say we have trained killers in a uniform.

Why do other developed nations not struggle with the problem of police killing civilians? Why does the US stand out here?

Police officers who have fired a gun on duty: A closer look | Pew Research Center

Quote:
Many Americans believe it is common for police officers to fire their guns. About three-in-ten adults estimate that police fire their weapons a few times a year while on duty, and more than eight-in-ten (83%) estimate that the typical officer has fired his or her service weapon at least once in their careers, outside of firearms training or on a gun range, according to a recent Pew Research Center national survey.

In fact, only about a quarter (27%) of all officers say they have ever fired their service weapon while on the job, according to a separate Pew Research Center survey conducted by the National Police Research Platform.

This is, unfortunately, veering off topic. I will check back on it tomorrow morning and if it has continued to be off topic it will be closed.

Very interesting study, and not very surprising results.

Many countries that are developed do not have the same demographic as we do. Many tend to be quite homogenous. In these kinds of countries, the people see each other as fellow citizens/as brothers and sisters. Here they try to separate people as much as they can by gender, race/ethnicity, income/wealth, you name it they are doing it. So it's easier for people to kill others in this country because if you don't value someone, why would you value their life?

Georgia Tech should review its police training, policies and equipment to try to avoid a situation like this happening again.

Yes, the student was depressed and suicidal (and stupid) but this doesn't have to end in him being killed.

Cops that have killed somebody are maybe less than one percent of one percent. Meanwhile street people and criminals kill each other everyday and nobody says anything about that.
