No, it is their decision to spend what they decide to spend. They can decide to spend whatever they want to spend and it still be too much.

Just because you think it's too much doesn't mean that they do.

Perhaps, then, they need to take economics 101. But, if someone wants to have to work into their 80s because they spent too much in their younger life, well, they'll just have to live with that.

I have dot com entrepreneur friends who spend upwards of $10K a month in rent. Not in ATL, but other cities in the south. Mainly FL.

Alot of Americans live check to check and risk homelessness if they loose their job. A family making $80-100K+ combined can probably afford $2000 a month payments, where a single person might break themsleves doing that if they arent making atleast $50K+.

As for $5-10k+ monthly rent that is insane to me unless you are very well off and either have a very convenient location or a giant mansion.

I’m about to lease out a 2/1 town home in a great community across the street from the brand new Publix on Marietta on the Westside.

$1200/mth!

Bargain.

Which community is that? The Ashford one? That's the only thing resembling 2/1 townhomes I can think of in the area.

Ahhh...I knew those places were back there, but never knew their names. Thought they were apartments. That is about to be a very sweet location, as you will be literally next door to Westside Village, across from the Publix and other services there, and a quick walk to The Quarter. We're looking forward to it all as well. In fact, we've kind of stopped looking for places to move.
