Exactly what I knew you'd bring up, as it is all you ever have in defense of your sweeping declarations about her.

The bike lane issue was already discussed on this forum in great detail, but here we go again. It was a poorly conceived idea from the get-go and clearly unpopular with a large block of her constituency. Safety and feasibility concerns were widespread, and in response to this Mary considered that perhaps if a more pedestrian environment was the goal funds might be better spent in widening and enhancing sidewalks along Peachtree. God Forbid; the small but strident biking lobby went ballistic over the comment. They're more annoying off the road as on, apparently.

From the link to her campaign website that you posted:

Increasing the number of bike lanes and enhancing bike lane safety to allow for more usage and improve traffic flow.

Regarding the beltline, I also see nothing that advances the idea that she does not support it; in fact, the same reference you provided says this:

The MARTA referendum TSPLOST mass transit funds should be invested for purposes such as:

Campbellton Road and Clifton Road light rail projects.

Greenbriar and Moores Mill Transit Centers.

Service frequency improvements.

System-wide bus route improvements.

I-20 West Hard Rail Expansion.

Rail station enhancements.

Improving traffic light and highway meter synchronization by upgrading outdated and obsolete technology.

Improving pedestrian safety though the installation of additional crosswalks and code enforcement.

Increasing the number of bike lanes and enhancing bike lane safety to allow for more usage and improve traffic flow.

Increasing bus network to better accommodate those who work in the city but reside outside Atlanta.

Improving existing roads and highways to create more highway connectors around Atlanta and within the city to provide alternative routes to reduce heavy congestion.

The Beltline is not addressed; I certainly wouldn't jump to the conclusion that because of that she is against bringing transportation to it. No reasonable person would. Your other comment on the subject is anecdote, not evidence.
Mary in favor of prohibiting large scale developments. This again? That's not what was said; you omit (deliberately?) the caveat:

Prohibit large-scale development in at-risk neighborhoods

A statement that dovetails nicely with this:

She will work with neighborhoods, developers and other stake holders to establish a citywide initiative to protect citizens from the displacement so often accompanying gentrification.

I find myself sometimes questioning your comprehension skills.

First I never cite any examples, then you knew those were those were the examples I would bring up?

But yeah, we have been over those examples before. I will let others interpret Norwood's double speak for themselves.

Oh, they will.
Amazing what passes for examples these days.

And she's probably telling the truth.

Meanwhile, maybe Keisha can disclose who she's paying on her campaign as she goes under investigation? Just another in a long line of her dishonesty and obvious corruption. Maybe after she becomes mayor she can also be city council president at the same time! She loves to double dip in government jobs so she can use taxpayer funds to pay for her million dollar Martha's vineyard home while somehow unable to pay her water bill.

I also can't wait to see all the dishonest contracts she awards to the people bankrolling her campaign.

I am amazed people can support this woman. Everything she does screams corruption.

I'd like to know what she has ever actually done. I'm not finding any major accomplishments, or a coherent agenda to be elected to such an important Office.

And Mayor Reed's behavior has become embarrassing. He's burning through a lot of good will, along with major political capital.

This is really an answer to a Council President thread post about Norwood's support on the east side, but since it has to do with the mayor's race, I am posting it here:

I know that it has been eight long years since Mayor Reed beat Norwood is the last hotly contested mayor's race, BUT I feel like the east side OVERWHELMINGLY supported her in THAT race and will again in this one. What seemed to make Mary Norwood lose in 2009, if I am remembering correctly, was a "softening" of support in Southwest Atlanta where she had done better in the general election than in the run-off. Still, who Cathy Woolard throws her support behind will be VERY important for those Eastside districts, especially Candler Park, south and east through "Atlanta in Dekalb" back through Grant Park. I do feel that whoever wins will win by a razor thin margin like eight years ago.

Yeah, Cathy swept the Eastside - by 37% in one precinct!

IF she endorses anyone, it will definitely be a game changer.
