I moved to Iowa 8 years ago from Atlanta. (The things we do for love). After all these years I still feel like an outsider and unless you're a hawkeye or cyclones fan you're not welcomed into their "click". I'm missing home and the southern hospitality. I miss Publix and Zaxby's!

It's so freakin' beautiful and nice here, this time of year. (Sorry). Every time I think about leaving Atlanta, fall rolls around and I change my mind. Repeat cycle every year.

If I could move back tomorrow I would! I find myself watching WSBTV online. i find the cost of homes here are so much more expensive. For the same priced house in the suburbs of Atlanta I'm paying 300 more a month because of property taxes! It's very depressing! I even miss driving down the 400 and I never thought I'd be saying that!

I can't imagine leaving Atlanta for Iowa. That's the last place I want to be.

I’m hoping that I’ll make it back to Atlanta in the next couple years! It’s hard trying to find jobs when you’re out of state!

Hang in there Camille,

I know how you feel. Lived and worked in Rural Minnesota for a year and a half. Didn't recognize any stores (what the heck was Menards and how does one save big money there?) Whats a Hy Vee? Oh well, we hope to have you back home soon.

“Is this heaven? No it’s Iowa” ... nobody ever said in real life ... ever.

OMG! I felt the same way! No one knew what Moe's, Zaxby's, or Krystal was. I thought these people are crazy!!
