Soccernerd,

I wish you and your family all the best. One of my kids lives there and likes it just fine (also moving there from Atlanta).

Safe travels and please keep in touch on the forum.

Beretta

Best of luck in Dallas, Soccernerd. It's a great city and I bet y'all will love it. Come on back to Atlanta for a visit every now and then.

Enjoy the city!!
We lived there from 2001 until 2015.
One word of advice.
Summer is brutal!
Stay indoors as much as possible!!!

I had some fun today.

Took TX130 to San Antonio, 85 MPH speed limit gets you to I-10 QUICK. The SS loved it, it was barely turning 2 grand. I had to slow down because it started raining. I've longed to drive that road ever since they built it. I wish we had autobahns in America restricted to trained drivers.

San Antonio wasn't too too bad. North San Antonio is hilly and green but development wise it reminds me slightly of North Dallas, downtown San Antonio leaves much to be desired with the exception of the riverwalk which is very nice. It does seem to be growing alot. It was surprisingly humid there. I always imagined it to be desertified and dry.

Just came back from Marietta square market.
It was very underwhelming.
We used to love walking that square and popping into all those local shops.
The businesses around there have gone downhill with the addition of that food hall.
Even that was not so hot.

So, in general terms, how close do you think we are to a recession? and I dont mean just Georgia but the U.S. in general. I'm hearing that the stock market isnt doing so well. Right now the U.S. still seems to be doing okay employment wise but do you think that will hold?

Hard to say. There's a bunch of mixed signals.
