If the city triples its population as some are predicting it will be an interesting and unprecedented time. Best of luck to the new mayor!

A felon who tried to buy unregistered machine guns in a parking lot. What a wonderful example for our city.

It takes all kinds to make a city. The guy buying machine guns in a parking lot is just as much a citizen as the corporate CEO.

Equal citizens, sure, but I don't think we should be putting people like that in positions of influence. Our city has enough problems with gang culture and glamorizing guns and violence, we shouldn't be showing young people that violence and traffic illegal guns is fine, you can still become a politician later in life. Young people in Atlanta need to know that for the vast majority, getting involed in that sort of lifestyle usually leads to early death and hard living, not a ticket to city hall.

What's TI going to do? Advise Bottoms on gun policy? I guess we can expect our shooting incidents to continue to trend up under Bottoms.

Appears there is some results from the massive HJIA power outage

Bottoms also mentioned that the City will likely launch a search for a new general manager of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, but she did not exclude the possibility that Roosevelt Council would stay in that position.
