Dumbest thing I've read all day. You must not know many Black women, much less the Queens here in Atlanta.

And no, 'having game' does not necessarily mean that you play the field. It refers more to your ability to interact with and charm potential partners (meaning that playing the field would be well within your capabilities, were you to choose to do so). Even the attractive part isn't a requirement. An otherwise ineligible bachelor (maybe married already/no job/slovenly/etc) with game would still be able to leverage their social skills to attract potential partners.

The opposite of having game would be being socially awkward.
Finally, someone with a brain.

I imagine so. I am sure she simply felt sorry for me!

If you don't think game is important, even in marriage, all I can say is "wow."

I have found that kindness, thoughtfulness, giving, understanding and compassion are the key elements of a good marriage. Not sure about all the game stuff, because marriage, as well as any other relationship worth having, is certainly not a game.

Looks like you missed the definition of game provided above. Well, good luck.

A few points:

1. The OP did not ask the question about the meaning of 'game'. AnsleyPark did (//www.city-data.com/forum/50337165-post14.html)

2. I did not say that a person without game is socially inept. I said that according to the definition of 'game', someone who is socially inept would lack 'game'. Any subjective opinion of whether being socially inept is a good thing or bad thing is left to the reader.

3. I'm not glorifying having game. It is like any other ability, neither good nor bad... what matters is how one uses it.

4. Your argument about 'game' isn't with me, its with society at large.... the term has been around for more than a decade. Perhaps you could rent a DeLorean to further your cause? Police boxes are in short supply these days.

The verb game means to manipulate a situation typically in a way that is often unfair or unscrupulous.Again that is YOUR society, obviously you were born and raised in it and don't see anything predatory about it just like Superfly, The Mack and various other street hustlers. If I could count the times women of all shades have told me they can't stand men who think like this, I would be a billionaire.. Also if furthers a false stereotype about certain men
