I'm surprised the Pleasant Hill one survives?

Well, I'm not totally surprised the Smyrna location is closing--except the Lenox area one closed a few years ago so that was the nearest one to NW Atlanta as well as S. Cobb. They had only recently moved into a larger store and added a Babies R Us. I bet that is their strongest business--baby and toddler--all the carseats and baby decor. Better toys at Target & online.

The Pleasant Hill location absorbed the Babies R US that closed about 1.5 years ago. I think the nearest Toys R Us to it at Mansell Rd and Northpoint Pkwy

Babies R US won't be far behind. Won't say how I know but a company im affiliated with I see quite a bit of their sales reports. Won't be long.

Toys R Us was made immediately irrelevant when online shopping first came about, a long time ago. Amazon has everything in that store, and 100x more.

Whereas retailers like Old Navy where you want to actually look at and feel and try on the clothes, and retailers like Best Buy where you want to shop for and buy the big ticket TV and etc, are still at least kind of relevant.

Toys R Us just sells $30 boxes with stuff in them. There's no advantage over online shopping.

Best Buy will die eventually as well....just as Hi Fi Buys did lol. They are horribly over priced.

I do find at least a few years ago, stuff like HDMI cables were overpriced. Their stock it's actually at an all time high. I find a much better selection of TVs and computers at Best Buy. I've never seen an instance where Amazon was cheaper with the TV, and they price match.

Plus, I like being able to look at things, drive up the front, and have the guys load stuff in the car.

I disagree. Unless Amazon buys Sears or Kmart for the brick and mortar and places electronics in them for you to tinker with, Best Buy will be just fine. Plus they price match.

A ton of people were going into best buy, checking out the tvs and then buying them off amazon. Best buy finally got smart and offered to price match, but the bulk of best buys profits are now actually coming from their cellular sales division.
