Why do people in the suburbs OTP without MARTA access always think people ITP don't have MARTA access? Not talking about the fake ITP (Cumberland, etc). We either are near a MARTA station or we have a bus nearby that will take us to a MARTA Station

Where did this thinking come from?

I have seen several post of people out in the suburbs acting like MARTA only goes a couple of stops and it doesn't move almost a half a million people daily. They are bashing MARTA when they probably don't even have a bus service on Sunday. Stop hating on MARTA

Many people want to maintain their feeling of superiority, and if they have to lie to themselves or remain willfully ignorant, it's a price worth paying.

The truth is MARTA goes all over the place. Certainly not everywhere, but within the system, there is no shortage of uses. For a personal example, I live in East Point, ten minutes walking distance from the MARTA station, and we use it to go to Decatur sometimes. East Point and Decatur are not close, and it isn't particularly easy to get from one to the other by car. But it's very easy on MARTA. I've also used it to get around this week (and intend to use it daily once the weather gets a little better), which was great because I was not willing to drive in this ice.

Some of your scribbling is within three blocks of MARTA stations.

If you define "ITP" as "only the areas that have convenient access to nearby MARTA rail", then I guess 100% of ITP has convenient access to nearby MARTA rail. But I happen to define it as, "Inside the Perimeter". AKA all of the area inside of Interstate 285. Maybe I'm just old school like that.

You remind me of Trump. Anything flattering is "real", anything you don't like is "fake". How convenient for you.

Stop hating on MARTA! You can live like us if you choose to by getting your county officials onboard. I live across the street from MARTA and can go to just about anyplace worth going to. I have MARTA access from 4:45am - 1am and the trains are crowded everyday. Yes it can improve like any other rail system but overall its a decent system if you choose to live near it. Again stop hating. You can have the same access if you get your county officials onboard!! Plus soon the city will start working on light rail tracks across the street to help fill in the gaps.

The buses are a total joke as they stand now! They're slow, take meandering routes, with worthless headways.

Uh you may want check your distances. Regardless, it was done in literally 20 seconds and designed to make a point, trying to pick at exactly where the lines are drawn like this just shows that you don't really have a counter point to it.

200,000+ people use the buses daily. At least people have the option to use it
