The linear skyline I do not like at all. GA Tech is in the WORST location.

I adore our unique linear skyline rising from a lush, subtropical forest.

Ditto!

Development has always followed the Peachtree ridge, and MARTA just cemented it.

What makes Atlanta even more impressive is the fact that Buckhead, Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, and Perimeter exist. That takes office space and tall condos away from downtown/Midtown, yet youd never know.

Go up the connector then get on the 400 then get on 285, it never ends.

Imagine if we could take all the high rises in Buckhead/Perimeter/Cumberland/Atlantic Station, and move them to Downtown/Midtown. Now that would be a skyline.

When do you think Alpharetta will get its first skyscraper?

Kinda already almost do. Depending on the definition of skyscraper.

There's a few high-rise buildings around Alpharetta in the 10-15 story range. And I think there's a planned development around Haynes bridge that would have a 20-story.

How is GA Tech in a bad location? It has walkable access to the heart of Midtown and the university is contributing to the ongoing building boom in Midtown, with major office projects going up along the Connector in the Tech Square area - NCR, Coda, the new Anthem IT headquarters. Where would be a better location for GA Tech?
