Hi,
I know all the schools are overall pretty good and we got Denmark as the newest shiny player in town.
The houses we are looking at are in the Lambert and South Forsyth high zones though. Is it worth really pulling hairs comparing the schools ratings or you can't go wrong with either school keeping in mind what the future holds as much as we can see ?

I also heard from a student that colleges have a certain quota per high school for admission, is that true ?

TIA.

I can't imagine there would be any significant difference between schools in South Forsyth.

6 one way, a half dozen the other. Just pick the home/neighborhood you like best.

Both are equally outstanding schools. There may be slight differences in athletics or extracurriculars, but they look close in 7A athletics too.

I have kids attending South. South offers IB and Lambert doesn’t. That’s the only meaningful difference between the two schools.

Both are highly rated, so I wouldn't make the rankings a major decision in your housing search.

From what I hear, Lambert draws in a wealthier population. A co-worker has kids in the Lambert district, and she said she wishes she were in SFHS instead. She says it's because there is a lot of Keeping Up with the Joneses (though I'm sure that is common in almost every high school in the northern burbs).

I also understand Denmark HS will be more of a middle class population, due to the heavy Hispanic population in the area. This will change though as a lot of of the new construction neighborhoods (Bridgehampton for example) are being bought up by South Indian IT workers.

My family is in the Lambert school district. Excellent school. You can’t go wrong with South Forsyth either.

Lambert and SFHS are no doubt great schools... But I would say buying in Denmark area is a smarter choice right now..
1. Demographics are changing rapidly around Denmark school.
2. 1400 South Forsyth students will be moving to Denmark next year
3. Most of the staff hired so far for the new school is from SFHS and Lambert
4. Prices in Denmark area are lower compared to SFHS and Lambert
5. That new school is coming up really nice....
