Looking at a home around Suwanee

Is it doable to commute to Oakwood every day?

I commute from Suwanee to Gainesville every day. Takes about 25 - 30 minutes, so Oakwood would be about 5 - 10 minutes closer. If you live across the river in the Forsyth part of the 30024 zip code it would obviously take a little longer.

That shouldn’t be too bad. I frequently drop off my child at a location not far from there and then drive to Gainesville two exits past Oakwood. You can take Peachtree Industrial and get on 985 at GA 20 or keep going north and cut over at Friendship Road. Or if you don’t want to deal with the freeway you can take the much slower but more relaxing route of Peachtree Industrial/McEver all the way to Oakwood. (That being said, after 15 years I’ve had enough of even my 30 minute commute and we are actually moving to Gainesville later this year, where I will have a 5 minute commute!)
