Quickly finding out that relocating is frustrating 😆
Despite thinking we knew that my husbands job would be opening a place in Austell, they are now considering a place right near motor vehicle department in College Park.
So, now we are back to the drawing board on decent towns to live in. I want to focus on Newnan but wasn’t sure if that drive is doable or if he’ll want to rip his hair out.
Does anyone know where that is / have any thoughts?
He’s headed back soon for another trip just to visit.

Fayette County is nice, and a pretty easy commute to College Park.

So that's Fayetteville/North Fayette, and Peachtree City.

Or you could live in in-town Atlanta, which has nice areas (but not as good schools). We'd need your relevant info and preferences to make the best suggestions.

In reference to the "motor vehicle department" in College Park, are you referring to the Georgia DDS (Department of Driver Services) branch office in Forest Park in Clayton County, OR are you referring to the Fulton County Government South Service Center in unincorporated College Park in South Fulton County?

In either case, Newnan provides what is virtually a straight shot commute to and from those areas by way of I-85 South and would be a good relocation choice for both of those locations whether in Forest Park in Clayton County, or in College Park in South Fulton County.

I-85 South probably is the least severely-congested radial commuter route in the Atlanta metropolitan area during morning and afternoon/evening rush hours, so Newnan would be a good pick and a Newnan-College Park or Newnan-Forest Park rush hour commute would very much be a viable and doable rush hour commute.

That’s great info! Thank you! The motor vehicle place is the one on Welcome All Rd, so I think that’s south Fulton County.

We are definitely looking for something suburban. He like land, although we probably can’t afford a huge lot. Probably max 220k is our budget. No need to worry about schools. Just his commute, and then I’ll look for a job when we are there.

If you don't care about schools and prefer more land, why not live in South Fulton?
