Which part of Kennesaw are you talking about?

West Cobb...I don't remember the name of the road but it's around Stilesboro road.

OK...clarity--good. Yes, the one in East Cobb is actually just called "Canterbury" and, now I remember, it is being developed by Ryland homes.

But, just like "Canterbury Estates" the price range has been marked down!

Thank you.

The Canterbury Estates I'm referring to is off Stilesboro Road (Barrett Parkway area). As far as the price of houses dropping, it is not isolated to Canterbury Estates. As a matter of fact, at this time, it would be to our advantage as a buyer. However, if there is any inside information (the good, the bad, and the ugly) on Canterbury Estates, that would be helpful.

Default Canterburt Estates - Information

Just so everyone knows, There are powerlines on on one specific back bufferzone not in the majority of the community.

Also all the homes in the area, all Beazer, and others, have dropped in value significantly. They were negotating an average of 10% discount on homes to begin with.

Beazer started building smaller homes without basements usign new floor plans and this lead to lower prices also along with the market shift. One home recently that was a forclosure sold for a $100K reduction over it's origional price, but the new homeowner had to spend $25K to add back the missing appliances, and repair the home.

Lots of the homeowners (7 that I know of) are finishing thei basements for as much as $100K+ cost and when the market swings back with the schools that are in that zone those homes will come back strong.

I live there and paid $500 for my $560+ (with adds) over two years ago and am also spending the money on my basement. My family loves the home the schools and the other neighbours and would buy here again.

Take advantage of the reductions, negotiate hard and make more more in the future when the home calues return, thats my advise
