I don't really hang out at Atlantic Station but visited once. I was wondering what they meant by "public park"...thanks for the clarification.

Well, it is obviously owned by a private company but it is nonetheless public space. You don’t have to pay to use it. Folks on here sure can quibble.

I see what you're saying but with a public space, don't you feel some sense of freedom? This dude told me one time he went to Avalon. He must have stood where he thought he wouldn't bother anyone because he wanted to smoke. Then he said security came up to him and pointed to where he could smoke...basically the road (not literally but it was outside of the "park") lol. And he was laughing when he told me this because where he was told to smoke, there was a little play area for kids.

Paying is but one minor aspect of the public private divide. You have rights on public property that you don't have on private property. So passing this off as a public space is a lie. You can call that quibbling if you want, but I'm not the one lying.

Can you please link to some of this documentation? I've taken numerous photos in Atlantic Station and never been tapped by security. Also can't find any stories asserting such things, at least in the first two pages while googling "Atlantic Station photos security". They don't allow professional photography and videography, which is maybe what you're talking about.

Okay...just wanted to clarify. You meant if you set up to take professional photos.

Stop attempting to belittle it- it’s not a public street and there have been several reported issues in the past. Nobody has to clarify anything further to you.

No, that is not what I meant. But that insignificant detail is irrelevant to the point that this is NOT a public space. It's no more public than a Tiffany store. Anyone can go there. But unlike in any truly public space, your rights are curtailed.
