Hi guys,

I recently moved to Atlanta and got a sweet job offer here but unfortunately, weekends are going to be rather dry for me. I would like to get involved in some hobbies, activities and groups for the weekends and am open to some suggestions.

Heard acting is big in Atlanta so maybe an acting group for younger people?

I've also thought about the idea of a second job for the weekends too.

All suggestions will be welcomed.

Tennis? Atlanta Lawn Tennis Association (ALTA). https://www.altatennis.org Largest amateur tennis organization in the country. Awesome way to meet folks and make friends.

Soccer? Head to the Active Oval in Piedmont Park and inquire.

As Moosehd mentioned, check out Meetup.com.

Church, if you are religious.

Drink.

Actually, what you could do is go to Piedmont Park on a weekend and see what people are doing there.

One time, I saw a big group of people getting into big inflatable suits and then running into each other. In my younger, healthier days, I definitely would have gone over to find out what it was and gotten involved!

You can also check Event Brite and as someone mentioned, there's usually something going on at Piedmont Park. Also check Centennial Olympic Park (their web sites to see current events/future).

I will look into those, heard a lot of good things about Atlanta sports and social club too.

Hi guys, I notice a lot of fine bars here in Buckhead, out of curiosity, how tough would it be to find weekend work at them?

Well if you have a lot of experience, I think that's usually what they are looking for. Atlanta has finally recovered from the recession (in terms of jobs for instance) and so it's easier to get a job now than before.
