I used my Peachpass for the first time last week on the way down to Florida. I traveled the entire length of the south I-75 toll lane, not because it was quicker, but specifically to see if my transponder was working properly.

It took 7 days for the charge to get posted to my account. When the charge didn't show up after three days I sent a message via the contact page on the website mypeachpass.com. I still haven't received a response. (I did try calling them, but after waiting on hold for awhile I gave up.)

So my questions are:

Is there any way to know that your transponder was seen when you pass through a sensor? Is there some sort of visual feedback? I didn't see anything, but may not know where to look.

Is it typical for a toll to take 7 days to show up? At this point I don't know if that's normal or if someone added it manually after seeing my message (since I have yet to receive a response).

Once the northwest corridor lanes open up I expect to use them regularly, but I would like to have some level of comfort that the tag is really being detected. It's easy to confirm a charge from yesterday, but a bit more of a strain on the aging memory cells to check on one from a week ago.

It will post. For some reason, the toll on 75 takes longer than 85 and Florida tolls to post to your account.

No visual confirmation like EZ Pass. Heck, In Florida, you will see the big red light and alert horn on their system and think you are in trouble but it will post to your account in a 3 days or so.

Don't worry about it. I know, my first toll took forever to post to my account because I went to Florida first.

I havent had any problems waiting on the I-75 tolls to show up fairly quickly. The Florida tolls took about a week though.

Supposedly they want to make Peachpass Interoperable with Texas toll roads, any idea when that may happen? I use the toll roads in Texas regularly.

When we drove to and from Florida last year, it took forever for the charges to appear on my account, and all along we got the big warning light in Florida. So, the answer is that you won't know until some time in the future.

I believe that Florida Toll Scanners are not able to read PeachPass transponders (they're entirely different types). I believe Florida captures our tags instead (which is why the warning sign goes off as it assumes we haven't paid.) and the tags have to be manually checked to see if they are Georgia tags and if they are, they have to see if we have a Peachpass account. If we do, another process is put in place to charge Peachpass. If not, we get a fine by mail.

I received the alert about the press release a few months back and no news about it from PeachPass

Assuming with the same kind of system in Orlando (E-Pass and SunPass mini for the rest of the state), I believe they can read our tags via their system. It's a passive system though.

The transponder used for portable system is different hence the alerts that samiwas1 was describing above for us. I wonder if people who use Sunpass Mini have the same alerts when they pass through the system or is it just because we are a different state so they have to manually process our tolls?
