Coming home for a 5 day visit, and won't have time to get an alignment, spin balance and rotation to the tires before I leave North Carolina. Anyone know a good mechanic in or near the areas mentioned? I have a 2015 Honda Accord Sport Sedan. Thanks in advance!!

I have used Catherine's Auto Repair near me on the westside. They have an location on Piedmont just south of I85 as well. I found them to be very honest and knowledgable, and they did some solid work. I had an issue with my car last year, and the dealership quoted me something like $1,500 to fix it, needing a list of repairs which would take a couple of days. I instead took it to Catherine's, and they quoted me just a couple hundred bucks and did it in an afternoon. The problem was gone afterwards and has never returned.

Well, the price difference was because the dealership was quoting half a new car, while Catherine's said only one filter needed to be replaced.

For Alignments and Balance stuff, any Firestone or Tires Plus can meet your needs. You will probably be looking around $150+ for all 3. there is a Firestone right by Perimeter Mall

For that you can go to a tire shop. Any will do. Look for a coupon. I like Dekalb Tire for that as they are/were one of the only ones with a high speed machine to do it correctly.

As for as mechanic work on a Honda, Far East Motorworks is the correct answer. For brakes though they are not much cheaper than a dealer if cheaper at all. Dealers I have found can beat a local shop on brakes 9 time out of 10.
