What's the difference right now, of me riding to work with gun, than without? I own several guns and have a permit, grew up around them, took hunter's safety course at 14, hunt on a regular basis and go to shooting ranges. I'm 30 now, carry a gun in my car, and have yet to shoot someone. Not once have I taken my gun and shot the guy next to me at the range.

Why would that change??

They weren't referring to people like you. Where this bill is concerned, gun novices are the people who strike fear, not people who grew up around guns and have had year of of training and experience.

My point exactly. All one need to do is travel to one of the Eastman Gun Shows when they come to the area. That can give anyone a taste of many "untrained" folks who need training 101 before they should even be allowed to touch a weapon, much less get a permit and walk around with a weapon.
