Stay classy Tommy Hunter...I really hope this bum is voted out next week. He's an embarrassment to Gwinnett County

Quote:
After the deputies working traffic control resisted Gwinnett County Commissioner Tommy Hunter’s attempt to drive in front of the procession in his Chevrolet Silverado, Hunter told them he was a county commissioner and they were blocking “his road,” according to written statements by the lawmen.

What a privileged dude. Of course he's able to keep his job after calling Mr. John Lewis a "racist pig." I actually found this out after attempting to google him.

No surprise here that he feels he has ownership over something that is public and paid for by taxpayers. Get off "his road" because this is "his state" kind of mentality.

The guy is probably a jerk.

But I actually understand his frustration. I don't think you should be able to block a street because a cop, the President, or the pope died. Take it on private property and let the taxpayers use the streets they paid for.

It's easy to be judgmental from behind a computer screen and not tied up in an artificially created traffic jam.

I see what you're saying but there were times I've seen roads blocked off for sporting events. They have nothing to do with me but I wouldn't get mad because the events are blocking "my road." Taxpayers pay for the road and so still very selfish for someone to get mad because "their" road is being blocked.

I would.

Just yesterday, I plowed through a road they tried to block off to shoot a film. I'm not going to be late to work because you're shooting. Figure out how to do it without being disruptive.

Everyone thinks their "thing" is super important and deserves an entire road. Nobody's thing is more important than anybody else's, so they're the ones acting selfish.

We’ll remember that at your funeral.

So I’m guessing you consider the Southern tradition of pulling over out of respect to a funeral procession dumb too ... a pointless interruption to your much more important and busy life?

Yes I do.

A corpse can go the speed limit.

Feel free to drive mine as fast as you want.

Well, that was disgusting.

The "corpse" in this case was a Gwinnett County police officer that was killed in the line of duty, in case you missed it.

Tommy Hunter is a sorry, pig-eyed, gully dirt piece of trash. I say that with all due respect.

Sorry, I didn't mean to offend with my comment. It may have been admittedly harsh, I was just trying to make a point.

I just don't understand why processions are allowed to slow down traffic because someone died. People die all the time. Why not have a procession because someone graduated high school? Got a promotion at work? Beat cancer?

I'm not defending Tommy Hunter.

I think we're done discussing your profound character flaws and shocking lack of empathy.
