Can the Falcons draft LSU quarterback. Very impressive.

I feel really sorry for Bulldog fans because this team was terribly overrated most of the season. Being "ranked number 4" creates false impressions that the team is better than it actually is. Rather than just being happy to be in the SECCG, the fanbase was led to believe they actually had a shot at the playoffs and national championship. Now everyone is angry about being in a lesser bowl.

If they had been ranked where they should have been ranked (lower side of the top 10) then there wouldn't have been so much disappointment.

Not a totally fair appraisal in my view. Earlier in the season Fromm was on fire, the defense was killer, and the receivers and running backs were healthy.

They could have been overrated over the past month, because it was a different team the past number of weeks.

I don't think that the Georgia Bulldogs were overrated at all, especially with the amount of overall talent that the team seems to have and especially with them beating good teams like Notre Dame, Florida and Auburn during the regular season.

In addition to one of their best receivers (Pickens) being suspended for the first half of game after being ejected for fighting in the Georgia Tech game, it just seems that the injury bug caught up to the team at a bad time, particularly in the receiving core and with the running backs.

Some observers have also remarked that it looks like Kirby Smart needs to modernize the offense to make it more sophisticated so that the team will be able to keep up with teams like LSU in an era of high-octane pass-heavy offensive play.

It looks like the Bulldogs are headed for a New Year's Day matchup with Baylor in the Sugar Bowl.
