Fascinating. It's kind of interesting. When I was living in Seattle I was constantly waiting for the "big one", that or for Mnt Ranier to blow its top, or a Yellowstone Super Erruption... ...instead I literally drive 16 hours to Atlanta from Austin and arrive last night at midnight ... to sleep through an earthquake 4.5 hours later... (I didn't feel it). I also slept through the one that occurred in Rome in 2003.

Slept through it. Supposedly, this was bigger than the last one...but that one knocked over my grill outside, and this one didn't.

Didn't hear or feel a thing.

My dog was acting weird all day yesterday, though. Maybe she sensed something.

I just so happened to wake up, turned to look at the clock to see it was a few minutes after 4am and then moments later I felt the quake. Hard to tell but it seemed as though the earthquake lasted 3 seconds. Unnerving for sure considering this was the first time I had experienced an earthquake.

I slept right through it, as I tend to do. I was in a 6.8 earthquake in the Philippines back on 1999. That was quite an experience.

Which explains why our pups got all freaky around 4:15 and proceeded to wake us up...
