Hi everyone.

I just joined this site but I've been reading the forums for a couple of weeks. I did a search but only 2 threads came up, and from 2006. -smiles-

I've lived in DeKalb County for the past 8 years (renting) and I've decided to purchase. My search for a townhome has taken me outside of the perimeter and into Peachtree Corners (I think? It was off Holcomb bridge and just past Peachtree Corner Cir) and recently up into Duluth zip 30096.

I found a little area- Berkeley Crossing- of townhomes and have driven through it twice now, Just to get a feel for the place. It 'seems' to be a nice area but if anyone has first -hand information I would very much appreciate it.

I also found an area- I believe it was called Regency Park- but it is right off of Buford Hwy (around Pleasant hill) I dont know how the area is over that way but I can tell that Buford Hwy here inside the perimeter is not very desirable. Is it the same out in Duluth area?

Many questions I know...I am hoping to make an offer on a home by early next week and Im starting to freak out. Haha. (First time home buyer)

If this helps- Im F/41/divorced/ kid in college/

Thanks in advance-
Laura

First off, dont put yourself into a have to buy by this time situation. You'll end up settling on something you dont really want/need. Figure out a defined area you want to be in and get on the interenet. Give yourself some due diligence time in the contract and use a great inspector. I have 2 friends selling places in the area you discussed, if you want more information I can send it to you (they are not listed for sale). email me at jrc3200@yahoo.com
