Sandy Springs is now dealing with the aftermath of losing its strip clubs. A developer is talking about putting in an old folks home, which could result in a traffic nightmare.

You have to wonder whether the cities that have gone after these clubs have really thought through the consequences.

A developer is considering building an assisted living facility at the former location of the Coronet Club/Doll House, a Roswell Road strip club that was forced to shut down after a long legal battle with the city of Sandy Springs. Nearby residents are concerned about the use and potential increased traffic the development could bring, they said at a Dec. 20 community meeting.

I visit my mother weekly in an assisted living and have visited numerous properties throughout North Atlanta area and there is little to no traffic. It does not take a huge staff for these properties. Traffic concerns sound like an exaggeration.
