Hi, I'm interested in the actual wait times at the security checkpoints today and also if there is an ETA for MARTA to be back up and running to the airport. We have another thread currently under moderation regarding the politics of the shutdown. I'm hoping to keep this one to facts impacting travelers going into the holiday weekend. Thank you.

I don't know how you could get actual wait times unless you are in the airport. Maybe there is a terminal cam somewhere showing the tsa line?

I am not sure there is an easy answer - although I would recommend to give yourself more time than normal.

On Tuesday when I flew out on a 9 am flight - I failed to get to the airport early. At 8 am - I had an easy ride through TSA Precheck Clear. The gentlemen sitting next to me on my flight got there almost 2 hours earlier than me and TSA Precheck Clear was a complete disaster for him with long wait lines.

So my bad actually worked out for the better - but it could have been disaster. Who knew?

I'm glad it worked out for you. It sucks being late.
