I hope I am not breaking any rules but I need help badly.
I'm needing to get my kitchen cabinets refaced. I already obtained a quote from HD and was not impressed. Looking for a local company that can replace 18 cabinet doors & 6 drawer fronts with full overlay shaker style RTF and either preface or paint wood cabinet fronts.
I understand that advertising is not allowed on this site - I just really need to hear from people who have had work like this done, preferably in the Acworth, Kennesaw areas.
Would appreciate any and all help or suggestions. TIA

You could ask peachstate lumber. They are just a lumber shop but they know lots of woodworkers and carpenters. They are in the kennesaw area.

Wish I could help and would really enjoy hearing what you find out.

I too got a quote from HD and I'm pretty sure I could have replaced all of the cabinets for the same amt.

HD subcontracts projects like these to local contractors, so there is a sizable markup for the middleman fee. I would suggest you do your own research on Yelp or via word of mouth to work directly with contractor.

Are you at all handy? I've done what you're describing, and it is not difficult if you carefully plan ahead. It is time consuming though.

OP is talking about building 18 doors and 6 drawer fronts. It's not a terrible hard project but it does take a decent amount of tools. Unless they are taking up woodworking as a hobby it probably doesnt make sense to buy the tooling just for one project.

I sanded and painted the cabinets in one of my rental properties white and replaced with white shaker doors from the home depot.

When you think about it you don't see the part of the cabinet connected to wall you only see the door.

Look for a local cabinet shop that actually makes cabinets. There are a few in Acworth and Canton. They can probably give you the name of a painter, but if not go to a local paint store that services professional painters. Check references.

Thanks so much for the input. I did have one recommendation and will be getting an estimate from Kitchen Fronts of GA. I'm hoping they are more reasonable than HD.
I would attempt to do it myself if I had the time and energy that I had 10 years ago.

My neighbor used Kitchen Fronts of GA. I have no idea what she paid four years ago, but they did a wonderful job.
