Jena,
Do you either have a helicopter or a wormhole in your backyard? Is the car optioned up with super-pursuit-mode or something? I just cannot see how Canton-to-Atlanta commute is shorter than coming from N.Fulton.

I love the sarcasm!...anyway, it comes down to shortest vs. fastest route -- simple as that. The shortest distance (Fulton County via 400) is NOT the fastest commute of the two. I am relying on personal experience. My husband commutes daily to Atlanta. I also commuted from Canton to Alpharetta for years & travelled regularly from Alpharetta to Atlanta corporate offices....nightmare, however you slice it or dice it!

This is like asking if it takes a spaceship less time to get to Earth from Mars or from Venus.

Hmmm... this is like a puzzle. We have to get mom to the metro to go downtown and dad to Alpharetta. Sounds to me like Sandy Springs would be the ticket. There is a Sandy Springs MARTA station and a North Springs MARTA station. They are outside the perimeter at bit on 400. Now, the question becomes can they find a home in that area for $300K and what are the better schools in that area?

I know there are good schools up there, but I'm a little clueless about it b/c I live in Decatur - anyone want to chime in who lives up there?
