Anyone (African American) in particular........ever go to this salon. I just made an appointment with them. I just moved here 6 months ago and have not been able to find a good salon....always wanted to try Aveda salon since I use all of their products (and love them) anyway. I also went to the eye doctor here and won a raffle........my prize? An Aveda gift card! (for the Joseph and Friends location!). I was so happy....so I have decided to go. It's a little pricey but I hear the experience is well worth it.

I just need some pampering. My mother was recently ill and I just feel drained. I figure a new 'do will make me feel much better..........I haven't been to the salon in months....I always do my own hair.

I will get a touch-up relaxer.....and a cut and style....

My appointment is next week....I hope someone here has had experience with them!

I have been to the location @ Holcomb bridge...years ago....they did my hair / makeup for my wedding portraits.

My parents lived in Roswell at the time.

Great salon... I'm not African American, so I can't speak to that. And it's been a long time since I went there...but I was happy.

thanks. They all sound so nice over there. I've called in and asked many questions and they happily and patiently answered all of them. I think I will be pleased.

After you go post your experience. I have never tried there products but I am very curious about how good they are for black hair. Also how do they style hair, roller set or blow dry?

Hi,

I will let you know. I use all of their products at home and have for over a year now. My hair is very healthy and is past my shoulders. I started growing my hair out about a year and a half ago from a very short Halle Berry cut and I truly believe the Aveda products (and Phytospecific...because I use their products/relaxer also) truly helped me to grow out my hair healthy and strong. I don't use heat either...not direct heat..no blow dryers or curling irons...or flat irons. I rollerset and sit under a professional hooded dryer each week.

I highly recommend their Damage Remedy Line and Brilliant Line! WONDERFUL!

I think they do blow dry your hair at Aveda...which is fine because I don't do it regularly. Someone told me that they do a great job blow drying your hair and that the hair comes out so straight, silky and soft. I don't want mine too straight because I don't like bone straight hair and like having body....so I'm hoping they do rollerset too.
