Who doesn't like freebies, especially on the job? No, not paper towels, pens and paper.

We're talking real cha-ching. From earning college coursework credit to discounted cars, these Atlanta companies appreciate their employees so much they're willing to give exclusive, in-house service perks to help team members save money and develop personally and professionally..."

This list is ridiculous.

Whether during business or non-business hours, Gas South offers up to eight hours paid time per fiscal year for volunteering at its sponsored events.
One day per year to volunteer is actually pretty crappy. Most good employers offer more than this.

I can also prove the list is total BS because it left off the most obvious employer: Delta. Where you and a family member fly free all the time, often occupying Delta One seats instead of letting the company make money by selling them at reasonable prices!

yeah, wow, this list was a let down. I hate to sound entitled, but many of the benefits mentioned in the article would be considered standard given the company.

Don't Delta employees fly standby, only getting a seat if one is available? I have several friends who work in Delta corporate, and it seems like this is what they do.

I knew two people at my last job whose parents worked for airlines. They are so freakin spoiled.

Without reading the article (advlocker on my phone), some cities it is generally the norm and not the exception to have free breakfasts, lunches, unlimited vacation, 100% paid medical, automatic vesting, and paternity leave. From what I’ve seen, Atlanta is still behind in this regard although a handful of the tech/startups have comparable benefits. Bay Area benefits right now are another planet compared to the norm in Atlanta.
