I was eating lunch outside in Vinings today, and a couple of bumble bees actually landed on our table and were gathering the pollen off the table.

By the pollen scale, anything over around 120 is considered "very high". Today's pollen count was just over 3700 (yes, really).

They claim that the rains tonight aren't enough to have a big effect on it, either.

I can take a flood before I can take pollen. At least the pollen will be gone.

Wow, I hadn't realized that there was that much pollen in Atlanta. Makes me seriously reconsider moving there, since one reason I wanted to get out of Ohio so bad is because of my allergies!

I thought that I had problems with allergies in Ohio - Hah! Those symptoms were nothing compared to the symptoms I have in Atlanta!

If you do have serious allergy problems, you'll want to talk to a doctor before making your final plans. While pollen season isn't year round here of course, during the Spring and early Autumn, please who have severe problems just about die from the stuff. My conditions towards pollen is in the "upper mild to low moderate" range according to my doctor, and I sometimes want to jump off a building. I know people who are worse than me who have to miss work due to it as though they had a severe case of the flu.
