I will be moving to Alpharetta and I need help with which apartments I should look into. I will only have two days to find a place and need to know what are my best choices for safe, quiet, quality apartments. I am not a partier and would prefer a community that is better suited for a mature homebody that is secure. Any suggestions on which apartments are good (as well as those I should stay away from!!) would be very appreciated. I will be working on Deerfield Pkwy and am looking at rent up to $1200.

Hello. What are you doing on Deerfield Pkwy? Like any apt, you're going to have issues. I know people that stayed at The Stoneleigh at Deerfield. They had issues with the people above them. The service is good, but the residence don't care to follow rules. The police were there often.

The Preserve is probably similar. You might want to research the apt communities in the area.

I will be doing Corporate Payroll. I have tried the review and ratings websites, but these seem to be utilized by disgruntled tenants and are almost all negative! Any suggestions on where to get accurate information? I would like to stay within about 20 miles of my work and am looking for a 2bed/2bath for under $1200. Help...

I have good friend who lives in an apartment community by the name of Cypress Point. She has never had a problem and loves where she lives! It is 3 minutes from Deerfield Pkwy.

This is exactly what I need - inside information!!! I am really concerned about only having such a short window of time to actually find something and am afraid of getting into a bad situation and being stuck for a whole lease. Thanks for your help!!
And Teacher30004, yes I would consider a townhouse but didn't think that I would have the time to fully investigate this possibility - any suggestions?

Avensong which is nearby has condos and/or townhomes.
Not sure how much they rent for but should be within your budget.

Post Baltimore to Alpharetta - help!!

Does anyone have any recommendations for good, safe and quiet apartments around the Deerfield Parkway area? What about The Preserves at Deerfield? I have looked at them online and they seem nice. Does anyone live there or know of anyone who has lived there? Is this a safe community? Any info would be great!!

Hello,

My husband and I are in NYC, and moving to Alpharetta in a couple of weeks. I had the same problem, since I've never been to Atlanta before and had NO idea which areas and apartment complexes were good. SO, I was referred to PROMOVE. You can check their site at promove.com and give them a call. They'll walk you through the process and send you apts that you may like. They'll give you advice on which neighborhoods are good, depending on what you're looking for. Then, you can narrow your search and tell theme which apts you're interested in, and they'll let you know what the availability is and what the prices are.

Good luck!
