I am apparently not keeping up with things. The viaduct bridges that make up Spring street south of Martin Luther King Jr. Dr., as well as the block of MLK between Spring and Forsyth are gone, being replaced! I drove by there tonight, I didn't manage to get any photos but you can basically see the two buildings, the Russell Federal building and the Martin Luther King Jr. Federal building, down to the foundations which are about 2 stories below street level. There is also another street at ground level that runs between the two buildings. I want to take some pictures but in case I don't make it there in time before they start putting it all back together, I figured I would post it here and let others know. It is really an interesting and rare sight to see the street back at the level it was before the 1920s.

No, the Spring St Viaduct structure was original and needed to be replaced.
