Are you saying I can avoid the traffic by sticking to state highways and surface roads?

Hwy 42/US 23 runs parallel with I-75 to the east from Stockbridge to Locust Grove.

It's usually alittle less of a headache but seldomly any faster. Especially when you get to McDonough square.

Invest in a peach pass and you can bypass McDonough and Stockbridge traffic on I-75 assuming the time of day is right.

I-75 south Atlanta plainly just sucks as far as traffic is concerned as there is alot of inter-regional traffic on it.

That has been my experience. You'll always see traffic, of course, but it seems to move along much better on the state highways and local roads.
