At a warehouse in McDonough, a project known as Project Verte is currently underway. This fully automated warehouse run by robots will begin operations this month.

If successful, it could set the stage for the elimination of millions of warehouse jobs across the country. With Henry County and other Southside communities being the center of Atlanta's logistic industry and relying primarily on this type of employment for functioning local economies, they could be hit especially hard in the coming years.

But then they'd just automate robots that can fix robots or produce robots that can learn and then adapt to malfunctions (I know we might not be seeing this any time soon but still).
